The Estate is a haven for game and, through its topography and environmental care, can meet most of the requirements that the true sportsman can expect.
- Formal pheasant shooting. Up to 200 pheasants in a day plus a duck drive in the afternoon if desired,
well presented for up to 9 guns.
- Informal rough pheasant shooting. This can be a very pleasant way of a group of, say, 4 to 6 guns
spending a day in the countryside with a bag of, say, 40 pheasants, plus a duck drive in the afternoon if
desired.
- Duck. Many different species of duck are on the river, mainly mallard, which can be shot in the evening
flight or can be added to either a formal or informal pheasant shoot (see above).
- Stalking fallow deer or muntjac.
- Fishing on the River Beane.
- Pigeon shooting.
Requests for any of the above will be considered, and tailored to an individual requirement. A package can be put together for a party combined with recommendations of suitable hotels, and luncheons, either formal or picnics, can be arranged upon request.
