Heath Mount School
Woodhall is home to Heath Mount School – a thriving, independent co-educational school for ages 3-13. The school comprises a prep, pre-prep and nursery for over 500 children. Since 1934, the school has leased the Main House in Woodhall Park, surrounded by a 40 acre campus and including River House in Home Farm. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with Heath Mount School.
The estate and school senior teams work closely together to align and deliver long-term objectives. The estate’s priority is to manage the preservation and maintenance of the Grade I listed house, as well as the evolution of the campus. We are committed to preserving the historic building and its setting, whilst working with the school to provide an inspirational and safe learning environment in the heart of Woodhall Park. Our goal is to enable the school to flourish within the constraints of a historic setting.
The Main House has several exceptional rooms in Georgian splendour, particularly the Print Room which is considered one of the finest examples of its kind in the country. Major preservation and restoration projects in recent times include the Print Room, as well as the Etruscan Hall, Staircase Hall and the central dome. Between 2016 and 2017 we undertook a significant restoration project to the stone ballustrading around the terrace.
