The Walled Gardens are a wonderful piece of history in Woodhall Park. Built in the late 1770s, the three gardens enclose 16,500 sqm / 4 acres within a 20-foot high brick wall. The ground is gently sloping and at the top of the gardens there are beautiful views over the surrounding parkland and towards some of our most ancient oak and hornbeam trees. The Walled Gardens make not only a historic and atmospheric venue, but also one which is totally private and secure. They suit a variety of events, particularly outdoor theatre, concerts and screenings, as well as educational events and camps, festivals and shows. Tell us about your proposed event and we will be pleased to discuss it.
Oppidan Education came to us with the requirement for an inspirational and thought-provoking, private and secure, venue close to London to host residential camps. Our answer to this was the Walled Gardens. Learn more by watching the movie below and book your child onto a camp with Oppidan Camps.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot accept all event requests due to the estate’s conservation efforts. We assess all event requests for their environmental impact on the landscape.
