An incredible 45 years of service
As our Estate Maintenance Site Supervisor, Terry plays a hands-on role in keeping the homes, buildings and wider estate in excellent condition.
A carpenter by trade, he originally joined the team in that capacity, bringing with him a wealth of practical skill and experience. Over time, his expertise and dedication saw him step into this new role, where he now oversees maintenance projects while continuing to craft and restore heritage features across the properties.
His work is integral to upholding the high standards we pride ourselves on here at Woodhall Estate.
A Busy Day, Every Day
When asked what a typical day looks like, Terry sums it up simply: “Very busy.”
No two days are quite the same. From coordinating maintenance across the Estate and properties to hands-on projects, problem-solving is a constant. It’s a role that demands skill, adaptability and teamwork, all of which Terry brings in abundance.
His favourite thing about the Estate?
Terry’s response to this question was broad, loving the creativity behind his role and the people, too. But another thing he mentioned is the setting, with him and Head of Property, Jennifer, enjoying frequent 10k+ runs around the Estate.
What Makes It Rewarding?
For Terry, the most rewarding part of the job is simple: working with the team.
After 45 years, it’s clear that the people make the place. The shared pride in maintaining something special and the respect for each other’s skills are what stand out most.
“It’s a friendly place where people respect your skills and take pride in the work. Every day is a bit different, and you feel like you’re looking after something important.”
