Woodhall Estate is proud of the work Hertfordshire Constabulary does to protect communities in Hertfordshire, both urban and rural. The estate is pleased to support the force by providing training spaces for police dogs and their specialist officers. They respond to dangerous situations across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, as well as provide security at London Luton Airport.

The kind of spaces we offer the Police are open areas, for example on private roads or by water courses, or in confined spaces in various buildings on the Estate. This provides the dogs and their handlers with varied training environments to improve their specialist skills – such as the detection of explosives, firearms, drugs or money, as well as public order and firearms operations.

In addition to training, the Estate works closely with the Police to tackle crime and anti-social activities in the Estate’s vicinity and surrounding area – making the Estate a safer place for all our residents and visitors. You will often see Police 4x4s drive across the estate, demonstrating our joint resolve to reduce rural crime.
